Antiques: Terrific Tiaras 
The Ruby Peacock Tiara: Made for Queen Wilhelmina in 1897, it’s probably most closely associated with Beatrix’s sister, Princess Irene, who wore the tiara many times. But Irene ran into some royal roadblocks when she lost her succession rights – and left the country for nearly 20 years – after her controversial marriage to Prince Carlos of Bourbon-Parma in the 1960s. The tiara gathered dust for some time before it was brought out again by Princess Maxima.
