Art Noveau 
Hair Comb by Rene Lalique at the Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon, Portugal. The comb is made of horn, decorated with a Spruce-tree branch, whose buds are in different stages of bloom. Fully formed buds are expressed in pearl (middle), while newer buds at the end have not achieved their full color, and are expressed in horn. New life develops at different speeds.
