RENÉ LALIQUE. 1899-1900 signed 'Female Head with Poppy Blossoms Dog Collar Plaque. The dominant motif, of carved chrysoprase and chased gold, is a woman's head in profile wrapped with ribbons of lavender-blue enamel. Three blue-and-black enamel and gold poppy blos-soms and a gold leaf frame the composition. Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, acquired from the artist in 1900.
