ALEXANDER MARCHAK Art Deco Emerald Tree and Bird Brooch FRANCE A geometrical and figurative 18 carat gold and platinum brooch centering a large carved emerald representing a tree on an onyx trunk in an open worked planter set with rose and single cut diamonds (app. 0.2 carats in total) with a pavé set border of cabochon cut sapphires. Two birds, with ruby heads and tails and ruby bodies, their heads turned backwards flank the tree, signed and numbered: A. Marchak, 1605, Paris.
